Not going to have time today for one of my usual rambling posts, as I am spending my poetry time editing and submitting poems to various publications, so I thought I’d plug some local events that are coming up. First up there’s Chichester Poetry;
On June 23rd Grace Nicholls & John Agard are reading at the Poetry & Jazz Cafe
On July 5th it’s the turn of Roger McGough at Chichester Cathedral
These should be exceptional events – I’m lucky enough to have enjoyed hearing both John and Roger previously and they are, as you would expect, excellent performers (I’ve not heard Grace but I’m sure she too is great).

If you can’t wait that long for a fix then there’s Write Out Loud Woking’s monthly zoom online event which I’ve been to a number of times – always enjoyable with an eclectic mix of performers. I don’t think I can make it this month – due to a change in work priorities I’m focusing on a US project at the moment, so will be working evenings much of this week, but anyway, maybe that’s a blessing!

In Portsmouth we have a couple of events in June;
A Front Room event on Wednesday June 15th at the King’s Bar Loft in Southsea

A T’Articulation writers event on Monday 20th at the Art House Coffee (The Old Parisienne) starting at 06.30 PM, with poems and prose work on the theme of ‘Flame’
T’Articulation events tend to be free and ticketed via Eventbrite – I will share the link when I have it.
I’m sure there are plenty of other events happening in June. Feel free to message me comment here if you know of anything else, particularly if it’s in Hampshire,Sussex, Surrey or Dorset. I don’t exactly have a huge following here, but I’m happy to share details.
